I love Valentine’s Day. I love the story behind it. I love the idea of celebrating love. I love pink and white and red. I love chocolate;) It’s never mattered to me if I had a significant other to celebrate Valentines with, I always celebrated it anyway. I have always been a believer in the importance of love. True love, not romance because romance is NOT love. (Romance is great, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not the same thing.) True love is an action.
1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter. If you want to know what true love is this is were to start. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love is beautiful.
On a more material note, here I am in my girly Valentines outfit! The Mister and I celebrated Valentines a day early this year. We were not to keen on fighting the crowds and just wanted to have a more relaxed time. It’s hard enough to get a table on a Friday night but throw Valentines into the mix and you might as well forget about it. So off we went for some P.F. Chang’s and then we toured the local Nintendo hotspots to get street passes. It was a perfect geeky Valentine:)
Cardigan and skirt; thrifted: Shirt; Hanes: Tights; Rue21: Boots; Faded Glory (because, as embarrassing as it is to admit, I actually like WalMart shoes.)
