I love a good green smoothie! I try to drink one every morning with breakfast. It’s part of my eat-more-green resolution this year. This particular smoothie I like to call the Hulk. Clever, right?
What you will need:
1-2 Handfuls of Spinach
1 Banana, peeled
2 Tangerines, peeled
1/2 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
Throw everything in to a blander and blend until smooth. Pour into your favorite tall glass and enjoy! The banana covers the flavor of the spinach nicely, and the tangerines give you a good little vitamin C boost. Yay for healthy yummy food!
Little twists and tips:
I like to buy my bananas in bulk then peel and freeze them. It keeps them from going bad and I don’t have to go to the store as often.
You can use a flavored yogurt instead of plain if you want some more flavor. I’ve used both peach and vanilla with great success.
You can also buy your spinach in bulk and freeze it for use in smoothies.
